Preconstruction takeoffs have long meant printed plans, a scale ruler and days of manual counting. Togal.AI uses deep learning to read the drawings and do that work in minutes.

A family construction business, turned software company

Togal.AI was born from a multi-generational family construction business. Founder Patrick Murphy grew up helping his grandfather prepare estimates from printed plans. After two terms in Congress he returned to the family business and found that takeoffs and estimating had barely changed.

He assembled a team of experts to build Togal.AI. The name honors his Irish heritage: "tógálaí" is the Irish word for "builder."

Scale and recognition

Togal.AI reports 8,000 users across 30 countries and has won AGC's Innovation of the Year, among other awards. It is headquartered in Miami.
