Broward's Brightpoint AI Ranks No. 6 on Fast-Growth List

Brightpoint AI points cameras at the factory line to catch defects. It just landed on South Florida's fastest-growing tech list, a few spots behind Miami's Togal.AI.

Summary: Coral Springs-based Brightpoint AI ranked No. 6 on the South Florida Business Journal’s list of fastest-growing technology companies. Its DefectGuard software uses computer vision to catch defects on the line, a cousin of Miami’s Togal.AI.

A factory can ship a thousand perfect parts and one flawed one. The flawed one is the one the customer remembers.

Coral Springs-based Brightpoint AI sells software meant to catch that part first. The company said this week that the South Florida Business Journal ranked it No. 6 on its 2026 list of the region’s fastest-growing technology companies.

The list ranks companies by percentage growth, comparing revenue from 2024 to 2025, the company said in a release.

What a Camera Sees on the Line

Brightpoint’s product is DefectGuard. It uses computer vision to find and sort visual flaws in images of products.

A camera photographs each item. The software flags what looks wrong and labels the type of flaw.

Customers can train the models on their own images. Teams can label those images together, according to the company.

The software can also run on devices at the plant. That keeps inspection close to the production line.

The company lists textiles, food and beverage, steel, plastics, wood and package handling among its uses. Those are very different products with very different flaws.

That range is the pitch. A model trained on a customer’s own samples can learn what “wrong” looks like for that line.

CEO Dr. Dipika Mirpuri said quality inspection reaches well past the final product.

“In manufacturing, quality inspection affects the outcome of the final product. It can influence production decisions, customer confidence and the way teams use their time.”

Inspection is a good test of whether factory AI works. A flaw is either caught or it is not.

That makes the claims easy to judge, and hard to fake.

The Same List, a Different Kind of Vision

Brightpoint did not climb the list alone. Miami-based Togal.AI was named South Florida’s fastest-growing technology company on the same ranking, with revenue up 194%. MAIN reported that ranking this week.

Togal also reads images. Its software studies construction drawings and automates the takeoff, the count of walls, floors and fixtures that becomes a bid.

Put the two side by side and a pattern shows. One company reads blueprints. The other reads product photos.

Both turn a slow human check into a fast machine pass, with a person still making the call.

Navin Mirpuri, president and co-founder, framed the goal in plain terms.

“AI creates value when it fits the way people work and supports decisions they can act on.”

A growth ranking does come with a caveat. Percentage lists favor companies that start small, so the order shows speed, not size.

Miami’s Factory-Floor Bet

Brightpoint is based in Broward County, but its customers are factories. Miami companies are placing their own bets on the same buyers.

Miami-based QAD Redzone, headquartered on Brickell Avenue, is building a decision layer for plants. MAIN covered its Manufacturing Intelligence launch.

That product works above the line, turning factory data into next steps. Brightpoint works at the line itself, where the product first appears.

Smaller South Florida teams are working the same ground. ARSOFT US, in a Florida Council of 100 accelerator cohort, guides field inspections with augmented reality, AI and computer vision. MAIN profiled it in 5 Miami AI startups for claims, freight and supply chains.

The common thread is physical work. These companies sell AI to buyers who make, move and inspect real things.

That is a quieter corner of South Florida AI than chatbots and funding rounds.

Brightpoint’s No. 6 spot will not decide anything on its own. The next test is whether plants keep adding cameras.
